Still at home, but not for long. Soon I'll start the biggest adventure of my life. In about a week I'll pack my backpack and board the first of 4 planes that will bring my to the other site of the globe, to the land of the long white cloud: New-Zealand.
For a few years now I've been dreaming about New-Zealand. About the country's unspoiled nature and weird animals. About its splendid isolation, 2000km of the coast of Australia (it's closest neighbour). About its laid-back people and Maori history. A few months ago I decided I was done dreaming. It was time to go and see it for myself. So I got myself unpaid leave at work, I applied for a visa and I booked a flight for September 4th.
So what's the plan? Well there isn't one. I got 4 months to see New-Zealand and I'll try to see as much of it as possible, but there isn't any obligation. I'm gonna travel at my own pace without a fixed itinerary. So I can stay longer in places where it's good and where people are nice.
a portion of the gear I'll take with me to New-Zealand. Mostly ordinary stuff though. The only expensive backpackers gear I got are my hiking boots and my leatherman.
en da terwijl Zeeland zo dichtbij ligt en ook schoon is......Kidding my boy, live your dream and enjoy
